The 0-9 750mA Center Tapped Step Down Transformer is a general purpose chassis mounting mains transformer with a 230V primary winding and center tapped secondary winding. It has flying colored insulated connecting leads (Approx 100 mm long) and acts as a step-down transformer, reducing AC - 230V to AC - 9V, providing outputs of 9V and 0V.
The transformer's construction includes a Solid Core and Winding. It is a static electrical device that transfers energy by inductive coupling between its winding circuits. The cores are made of high permeability silicon steel, which greatly reduces the magnetizing current and confines the flux to a path closely coupling the winding.
