The 0-9 5 Amp Step Down Transformer is designed to act as a step-down transformer, reducing AC from 230V to 9V. It has a non-center tapped secondary winding with flying colored insulated connecting leads (approximately 100 mm long).
The transformer's construction includes a solid core and winding made of high permeability silicon steel. This design helps in reducing magnetizing current and confining the flux to closely couple the winding circuits.
