The transformer has non-center tapped secondary winding and flying colored insulated connecting leads (approximately 100 mm long). It is a static electrical device that transfers energy by inductive coupling between its winding circuits. The varying current in the primary winding creates a varying magnetic flux in the core, inducing a varying electromotive force in the secondary winding.
