The 0-6 500mA Step Down Transformer is designed for DIY projects requiring high current drain, on chassis AC/AC converter, and designing a battery charger. The transformer acts as a step-down transformer, reducing AC 230V to AC 6V, with outputs of 6V and 0V. It features flying colored insulated connecting leads (approx. 100mm long) and a construction with solid core and winding. The cores are made of high permeability silicon steel, confining the flux to closely couple the winding circuits.
