The UC1854 provides active-power factor correction for power systems, ensuring they draw sinusoidal current from lines. It integrates a voltage and current amplifier, analog multiplier and divider, and a fixed-frequency PWM. Additionally, it features a power MOSFET compatible gate driver, 7.5-V reference, and overcurrent protection.
Operating in single-phase and three-phase systems, the UC1854 handles voltages from 75 V to 275 V and frequencies from 50 Hz to 400 Hz. The device minimizes noise sensitivity and distortion while maintaining sinusoidal line current accurately. It offers low starting supply current and is available in various package types including ceramic dual in-line and surface-mount packages.
