The TL494 device includes two error amplifiers, on-chip adjustable oscillator, dead-time control (DTC) comparator, and more. The error amplifiers have a common-mode voltage range from -0.3V to VCC - 2V. The dead-time control comparator provides about 5% dead time. The on-chip oscillator can drive common circuits in synchronous multiple-rail power supplies.
The uncommitted output transistors offer common-emitter or emitter-follower output capability. This device allows for push-pull or single-ended output operation, with output-control function selection. The architecture prevents either output from being pulsed twice during push-pull operation.
The TL494C operates between 0°C and 70°C for different applications.
