The TEC1-12709 Thermoelectric Cooler 9A Peltier Module utilizes the Peltier effect to create a temperature differential, making one side hot and the other side cool. It can be used for both heating and cooling applications, as well as for generating electricity. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to use a heat sink to dissipate heat from the hot side.
A TEC module is commonly used in various industrial applications such as computer CPUs, CCDs, portable refrigerators, and medical instruments. It operates by transferring heat from one side of the module to the other, creating a cold and hot side.
Operating Tips: Do not exceed Imax or Vmax when operating the module. Ensure moisture protection options are carried out in the final application. The life expectancy of the module is 200,000 hours with a low failure rate of 0.2%. Always use a heat sink on the hot side to prevent overheating.
