The TEC1-07107 30x30mm Thermoelectric Cooler 7A Peltier Module is a simple application of the Peltier Thermoelectric Effect. It features 127 semiconductor couples in a 40mmx40mm area, effectively cooling and heating up to 80°C. Thermoelectric coolers, also known as TEC or Peltier Modules, create a temperature differential on each side, with one side getting hot and the other side getting cool. This allows for both heating and cooling applications, as well as the generation of electricity using a temperature differential.
For optimal performance, it is essential to remove heat from the hot side of the module. Failure to do so can lead to the Peltier reaching stasis and becoming ineffective. Using a heat sink or other heat removal device is recommended to maintain efficient operation. The module can be used in various industrial applications, including computer CPUs, CCDs, portable refrigerators, and medical instruments.
Operating Tips: Do not exceed Imax or Vmax when operating the module. Ensure moisture protection options are implemented in the final application. The module has a life expectancy of 200,000 hours with a low failure rate of 0.2% based on long-term testing.
Important Note: The hot side of the module requires a heat sink at all times. Avoid running the device with a power supply for more than a few seconds without a properly mounted heat sink.
