The TDA2002 is a class-B audio power amplifier in a Pentawatt package designed for driving low impedance loads down to 1.6 ohms. It provides a high output current capability of up to 3.5A and has very low harmonic and crossover distortion. The device incorporates a short-circuit protection system that automatically limits the dissipated power to keep the operating point of the output transistors within their safe range. Additionally, a conventional thermal shutdown system is included for added safety.
