This SHARP distance sensor utilizes IR to detect objects and provides analog voltage output based on the object's proximity. It is ideal for short-range detection applications.
To use the sensor, connect the black wire to ground, the red wire to 5V, and the white wire to the analog input. The analog voltage output ranges from 3V when the object is 10 cm away to 0.4V when the object is 80 cm away.
For stable power supply, it is recommended to add a 10 µF or larger capacitor across the power and ground close to the sensor due to its current consumption pattern.
