Warning: Do not hot-plug the Grove-Ultrasonic Ranger, as it may damage the sensor. Ensure that the measured area is not less than 0.5 square meters and is smooth.
Hardware Overview: The module consists of an ultrasonic transmitter and receiver, functioning as an ultrasonic transceiver. It utilizes a 40 kHz ultrasonic wave to measure distances by calculating the time from transmission to reception and multiplying it by the speed of sound in the air (340 m/s).
Comparison with HC-SR04: The Grove Ultrasonic Distance Sensor offers advantages such as single-pin operation, support for both 3.3V and 5V systems, and easy compatibility with Raspberry Pi's I/O. In contrast, the HC-SR04 sensor requires a voltage conversion circuit for Raspberry Pi connection.
