The Grove Tilt Switch v1.1 is equivalent to a button and can be easily operated by tilting. It functions as a digital input with a micro-controller. Inside the switch, a pair of balls make contact with the pins when the case is upright, closing the switch. The SIG pin output is normally LOW but becomes HIGH when the switch is upright. The switch features a surface mount resistor and is wired to the SIG line, with the NC line not being used.
