The Grove Light Sensor v1.2 is an updated version of the Grove Light Sensor 1.0. It functions as a light-controlled switch, ideal for automating lighting based on ambient light levels. The sensor's resistance, or Light Dependent Resistor (LDR), decreases as ambient light intensity increases. The onboard dual OP-AMP chip LM358 produces a voltage corresponding to light intensity, with the output signal being analog.
The sensor integrates a high-sensitive and reliable phototriode GL5528, providing accurate light measurements. It can be easily interfaced with the Grove port, simplifying the wiring process. For beginners, Seeed Studio offers guidance PDF documents to assist in using the product effectively.
