The IDT SGAS701 is a solid-state chemiresistor sensor specifically designed for the detection of hydrogen in the air. It utilizes an integrated heater with highly sensitive MOx material tailored for hydrogen detection. The sensor operates based on the principle that metal oxide materials interact with gas molecules at elevated temperatures, leading to a measurable change in electrical resistance. The poly-crystalline nature of these materials results in significant electronic effects on individual grains, ultimately affecting the electrical conductivity of the oxide.
