The PICkit 3.5+ is compatible with Microchip's in-circuit debugging logic, offering a low-cost hardware debugger and programmer. It allows debugging and programming of PIC and dsPIC Flash microcontrollers using the MPLAB Integrated Development Environment (IDE). This upgrade from the PICkit 3 programmer includes the Programmer-to-Go feature.
The PICkit 3.5+ comes with diagnostic LEDs (power, busy, error) and the ability to read/write program and data memory of the microcontroller. It supports erasing program memory space with verification, freezing peripherals at breakpoints, and programming up to 512K byte flash with the Programmer-to-Go. The package includes an ICSP cable for convenience.
