The NEO-M8N GPS module is a high precision device with a built-in compass, enclosed in a protective plastic case. It offers accurate position updates at 10Hz and has a rechargeable backup battery for warm starts. The module is configured to run at a baud rate of 38400 and is compatible with Pixhawk and APM flight controllers.
With a capability of accuracy between 0.6 and 0.9 meters, the NEO-M8N is a significant improvement over previous models. It provides fast satellite searching and acquisition, along with a built-in compass with a 10Ghz refresh rate and low noise figure for excellent performance.
The NEO-M8N GPS module is designed for easy migration from previous NEO generations, offering robustness and integration capability with flexible connectivity options. It includes internal Flash for simple firmware upgrades to support additional GNSS systems.
The module comes with a circular mounting pad and genuine chip for firmware updates and configuration changes via U-Center. It is backward compatible with NEO-7, NEO-6, and NEO-5 families.
