The sensitive material of the MQ-131 gas sensor is O3 SnO2, which has lower conductivity in clean air. When Ozone gas is present, the sensor's conductivity increases with the gas concentration. By using a simple electro circuit, the change in conductivity is converted to a corresponding output signal of gas concentration. The MQ-131 gas sensor is not only highly sensitive to Ozone but also to O3, CL2, NO2, etc.
The sensor has a signal light to indicate the output and offers a TTL-level output signal that is low when valid. The analog output voltage increases with the concentration, providing a higher voltage for higher concentrations. It has a long life and reliable stability, making it a dependable choice for gas detection applications.
