The MIC29302 are high current, high accuracy, low dropout voltage regulators using Microchip’s proprietary Super ? PNP process with a PNP pass element. They feature very low dropout voltages, making them suitable for lower current, extremely low dropout-critical systems. These regulators are fully protected against various faults including overcurrent, reversed input polarity, over temperature operation, and transient voltage spikes.
Five pin fixed-voltage versions of the MIC29302 include logic level ON/OFF control and an error flag to signal whenever the output falls out of regulation. This flag alerts for low input voltage, output current limit, over temperature shutdown, and extremely high voltage spikes on the input. Additionally, these regulators are characterized for smaller loads with industry-leading performance specifications.
