Each optocoupler in the MCTE series consists of a gallium arsenide infrared LED and a silicon NPN photo transistor. The devices are UL listed for 5300 VRMS isolation test voltage and comply with double molding isolation manufacturing process for high isolation performance. The optocouplers are suitable for various applications such as AC mains detection, reed relay driving, and switch-mode power supply feedback.
Option 1 allows compliance to DIN EN 60747-5-2(VDE0884)/ DIN EN 60747-5-5 pending partial discharge isolation specification. These devices are available in lead formed configuration for surface mounting and come in tape and reel or standard tube shipping containers.
