The MCP4922 devices are dual 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit buffered voltage output Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs), respectively. They operate from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply with SPI compatible Serial Peripheral Interface. Users can configure the full-scale range to be VREF or 2 * VREF by setting the Gain Selection Option bit. Individual DAC channels can be shut down or both channels using SHDN pin or Configuration register bits. In Shutdown mode, internal circuits in the shutdown channel are turned off for power savings.

The MCP4922 devices feature double-buffered registers for synchronous updates of two DAC outputs using the LDAC pin. A Power-on Reset (POR) circuit ensures reliable power-up. With a resistive string architecture, low DNL error and fast settling time are achieved. They are specified over the extended temperature range of +125°C, providing high accuracy and low noise performance for various applications requiring calibration or compensation of signals like temperature, pressure, and humidity.
