The MC33262 active power factor controllers are specifically designed for use as a preconverter in electronic ballasts and offline power converter applications. These integrated circuits come with a range of features including an internal startup timer, transconductance error amplifier, quickstart circuit, trimmed internal bandgap reference, and more. The totem pole output is ideal for driving a power MOSFET.
Protective features such as an overvoltage comparator, input undervoltage lockout, and cycle-by-cycle current limiting, ensure safe and reliable operation. The device is available in dual-in-line plastic packages, making it convenient for various applications.
Superseding the functionality of SG3561 and TDA4817, these Pb-Free and Halide-Free devices provide efficient power factor correction.
