PolySwitch LVR series PPTC (polymeric positive temperature coefficient) devices are designed to protect against mechanical overloads, overheating, stall, lost neutral, and other harmful conditions in commercial home appliances. These devices extend the proven PolySwitch technology into higher voltage applications, providing resettable over-current protection.
When placed near heat-generating components like magnetics, FETs, or power resistors, the thermally active devices offer protection against over-current and over-temperature faults in power supplies, transformers, and control circuits.
