LDR, also known as a photoresistor, is a resistor that changes its resistance based on the light intensity it receives. This 5mm LDR can be easily connected to a power source and a microcontroller for various applications such as light sensing, color sensing, object detection, and more.
For analog applications, the LDR can be used in camera exposure control, colorimetric test equipment, automatic gain control, and more. In digital applications, it is suitable for automatic headlight dimming, streetlight control, position sensing, and other uses.
To use the LDR, connect one side to a power source (e.g., 5V) and the other side to the microcontroller's analog input pin. Add a 10K pull-down resistor from the analog pin to ground. The voltage on the pin will vary based on the light conditions.
Package Includes: 1 x LDR - 5mm
