The L4974A is a step down monolithic power switching regulator that utilizes BCD mixed technology to achieve high efficiency and fast switching times. It features reset and power fail functions for microprocessors, soft start, current limiting, and thermal protection. The device is housed in a Power Dip 16 + 2 + 2 plastic package, requiring minimal external components for operation. Operating efficiently at frequencies up to 200KHz helps reduce the size and cost of external filter components.
