It has an auto setting that allows it to automatically recognize what it's measuring and act accordingly, for the most common measurements like Volts AC or DC, resistance, or continuity. Simply attach the probes in smart mode, and it will work. The ST600 multimeter can measure a maximum of 600V AC/DC voltage, 10A AC/DC current, and 60M Ohms resistance. The tester also tests temperature, capacitance, frequency, duty-cycle, wire on-off, diodes, and continuity. By replacing the gear knob with 2 buttons, you can use it like a smartphone, making it more convenient than a meter with only 1 function button. You can manually select the function to the left or right due to this design change.
