Infrared Thermopile Sensor can measure temperature without contact by detecting the infrared energy of an object. The thermopile sensing elements consist of small thermocouples on silicon chips that absorb energy and produce output signals. The ISB-TS45D Infrared Thermopile Sensor is suitable for non-contact temperature measurement applications such as ear thermometers and forehead thermometers, as well as industrial continuous temperature control.
Design restrictions include indoor use only, suitable optical filters for outdoor applications, and fail-safe features to prevent secondary failures. Usage restrictions advise against exposure to severe ambient temperature changes, strong vibrations, barrier materials in the detecting area, corrosive environments, high-humidity atmospheres, static electric fields, and more.
Welding restrictions specify soldering with a soldering iron below 260C for 10 seconds and washing off all flux after soldering. Usage and selling should comply with applicable laws and regulations, and the manufacturer is not responsible for sensor failure due to incorrect handling or storage.
