The DD30CRTA is a PWM switch-mode battery charger controller designed for 12V lead-acid batteries. It offers trickle charge, constant current charge, over-charge, and float charge modes. The regulation voltage is internally set for over-charge and float charge modes. The charger automatically trickle charges deeply discharged batteries and transitions to float charge mode once the over-charge is terminated.
In float charge mode, the charger compensates for battery power loss due to self-discharge or external loading. It can automatically start a new charge cycle if the battery voltage drops below a certain threshold. The DD30CRTA also features under-voltage lockout and indication for added safety.
