The BME280 is a great new chip that was originally designed for the next generation of smartphones. With an I2C connection, you have access to enough weather data to make some pretty good predictions for your local area. The precision sensor is soldered onto the PCB, allowing for accurate measurements of pressure, temperature, and humidity.
Not only can the BME280 measure pressure and temperature, but it can also accurately measure humidity. The sensor supports both I2C and SPI interfaces, making it versatile for various applications.
