This probe assists in the transfer of data to and from an iButton. The probe is panel mounted and presents a flat faceplate and a round profile that provides a self-aligning interface that matches the circular rim of an iButton MicroCanpackage. Additional features include an LED within the probe that provides user-feedback signaling, and a Molex connector terminated cable assembly that makes it easy to connect into a system.
The panel-mount probe is pre-wired for easy installation and guides the entry of the iButton. The iButton slides over the surface to self-clean contacts, and the accessible shallow probe cavity simplifies removal of debris such as mud. The flexible design supports panel-mount or hand-grip mount with optional tactile feedback. The bright tarnish-resistant metal surface provides millions of operations.
The hand-grip probe mates to an RJ-11 jack for quick installation.
