The MCP3008 devices are successive approximation 10-bit Analog-to-Digital converters with on-board sample and hold circuitry. They offer a broad voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and operate at conversion rates of up to 200 ksps. With low-current design, they have standby currents of only 5 nA and active currents of 320 µA. Available in PDIP, SOIC, and TSSOP packages, these devices find applications in sensor interfaces, process control, data acquisition, and battery-operated systems.
