- Automatically restarts microprocessor after power failure
- Monitors push button for external override
The DS1232 Micro Monitor™ Chip is designed to monitor three vital conditions for a microprocessor: power supply, software execution, and external override. It provides precise monitoring of VCC with the ability to generate a power fail signal in case of an out-of-tolerance condition. The chip also offers push button reset control and includes a watchdog timer that forces reset signals if necessary.
With accurate power supply monitoring and the ability to eliminate the need for discrete components, the DS1232 is a compact solution ideal for various applications. The optional industrial temperature version extends the operating range from -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for a wide range of environments.
