An ultrasonic distance sensor determines the distance to a target by measuring time lapses between the sending and receiving of the ultrasonic pulse. This sensor module has a much smaller blind zone, wider sensing angle, and certain penetration power (smog, dust) compared to similar sensors. The closed separated probe design makes it waterproof and dustproof, suitable for harsh and moist measuring environments. All signal processing units are integrated inside the module, allowing users to obtain distance values through the Asynchronous Serial Interface. With a band rate of 9600bit/s, the sensor can easily communicate with the upper host or other MCUs, significantly shortening the development cycle for users.
