A CD54 2.2uH Surface Mount Power Inductor is a 2-terminal passive device with a coil of wire wound around a ferrite core. It is useful in mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players, DSC/DVC, portable DVD players, etc., as DC-DC Converter inductors.
When a current is applied through the inductor, a magnetic field is generated around it. The magnetic field produced by using a magnetic core is significantly stronger than others.
