The CD4049 devices are inverting hex buffers designed for logic-level conversion with a single supply voltage (VCC). They can handle input-signal high levels exceeding the VCC supply voltage, making them suitable for CMOS to DTL or TTL conversions. These devices can directly drive two DTL or TTL loads. With VCC at 5 V, VOL at 0.4 V, and IOL at 3.3 mA, they offer reliable performance.
With standard speed (tpd > 50ns) and over-voltage tolerant inputs, the CD4049 is a versatile component. It has unbuffered IOL (Max) at 18 mA and IOH (Max) at -3.1 mA. The device is rated for a data rate of 24 Mbps and comes in a PDIP|16 package group.
