- Three-State Outputs With Separate Enable Controls
The RCA-CD40109 contains four low-to-high-voltage level-shifting circuits suitable for shifting digital-logic signals for various voltage combinations. Unlike other shifters, it does not require a specific power supply sequence and has no restrictions on voltage magnitudes within the device ratings.
The CD40109 can operate as a high-to-low level-shifter under VCC > VDD mode. It also touts individual three-state output capability, allowing high-impedance states based on control inputs. The device is 100% tested for quiescent current, with low input current ratings.
Applications include high or low level-shifting, bussing with three-state outputs, and isolating logic subsystems with separate power supplies. For more detailed information, refer to the CD40109 IC Datasheet.
