The DC motor governor is a device that adjusts the speed of the DC motor. It is an automatic adjustment device used to reduce non-periodic speed fluctuations in machines, keeping the speed constant or close to the set value. Due to the low speed and high torque characteristics of DC motors, they are irreplaceable by AC motors. The DC speed regulator, based on the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) principle, is commonly used in DC load circuits for its special performance.
Precautionary measures:
- 1. The input of the DC motor governor is direct current and should not be connected to alternating current to prevent damage.
- 2. Ensure correct polarity of the DC power supply to avoid damaging the governor.
- 3. The motor direction can be changed by adjusting the line sequence if needed.
- 4. The potentiometer knob adjusts the output duty ratio to change the motor speed.
