The PRUCAPE is an add-on board designed for users to explore the powerful programmable real-time unit (PRU) core and its basic functionality. The PRU is a low latency microcontroller subsystem integrated into the Sitara AM335x and AM437x family of devices. It is optimized for deterministic, real-time processing, direct access to I/Os, and ultra-low latency requirements.
Equipped with LEDs and push buttons for GPIO, audio, and temperature sensor functionalities, the PRUCAPE, when used with the BeagleBone Black, provides an ideal EVM solution for initiating PRU development on the Sitara platform.
The board features a range of components including an expansion connector, UART, sensors, LCD, audio jack connection output, RS-232 serial cable, dual GPIO push buttons, switch speakers or headphones for audio demo, LEDs bank of PRU0 & PRU1 LEDs, and a MicroSD card formatted as FAT32.
