This inductive proximity sensor by Autonics generates an electromagnetic field to detect metal objects. It offers built-in sensitivity adjustment and enables no-touch object detection. Inductive sensors utilize a magnetic field for object detection, limiting suitable targets mainly to metal objects. On the other hand, capacitive sensors can detect non-conductive objects acting as dielectric materials.
The sensor is designed for a long life cycle, high reliability, and simple operation. It features an IP67 protection structure according to IEC standards, making it replaceable for micro switches and limit switches.
