This inductive proximity sensor by Autonics generates an electromagnetic field to detect metal objects. It offers built-in sensitivity adjustment and enables no-touch object detection. Inductive sensors utilize a magnetic field for object detection, limiting suitable targets to mostly metal objects. Capacitive sensors, on the other hand, can detect non-conductive objects acting as dielectric materials.
