This inductive proximity sensor by Autonics generates an electromagnetic field to detect metal objects. It offers built-in sensitivity adjustment and enables no-touch object detection. Inductive sensors utilize a magnetic field for object detection, limiting suitable targets mainly to metal objects. On the other hand, capacitive sensors can detect both conductive and non-conductive objects, reacting to dielectric materials as well.
