- Input Voltage: 7-24
- Operating Voltage (VDC): 3.3
- Operating Temperature (C): -40 to 85
Top Features:
- Supports Half Duplex and Full Duplex
- Master/slave configuration
- Switchable onboard termination resistor
- Isolated Half/full-duplex modes
The Arduino MKR 485 Shield is designed to allow the Arduino MKR series of development boards to connect to industrial automation systems using the RS 485 protocol. It can extend serial wired communication over a longer range and supports various configurations such as Half Duplex, Full Duplex, with or without biasing and termination, and master/slave configuration.
The MKR 485 Shield is the ultimate expansion that enables MKR boards to connect to almost any legacy industrial system, including industrial PLCs, controllers, drives, and HMIs. It can transform old industrial systems like machinery, heating systems, and conveyors into IoT devices through a serial connection using the MKR 485 Shield.
Applications include Industrial Controls, Level Translators, Telecommunications, and Local Area Networks.
