ADE7757 High Accuracy Electrical Energy Measurement IC
A high accuracy electrical energy measurement IC with on-chip oscillator as a clock source.
- Supplies Average Real Power on F1 and F2 Outputs: Yes
- High Frequency CF Output for Calibration: Yes
- Logic Output REVP for Miswiring Detection: Yes
- Direct Drive for Electromechanical Counters and 2-Phase Stepper Motors: Yes
The ADE7757 is a pin reduction version of the ADE7755, featuring a precise oscillator circuit as a clock source, eliminating the need for an external crystal or resonator. The chip interfaces directly with the shunt resistor and operates only with AC input.
The specifications of ADE7757 surpass the accuracy requirements stated in the IEC 61036 standard. It incorporates proprietary ADCs and DSP for high accuracy in varying conditions and time stability.
The IC includes a power supply monitoring circuit on the VDD supply pin. It provides average real power information on outputs F1 and F2, suitable for driving electromechanical counters or interfacing with an MCU.
- Specifications & Features:
- On-Chip Oscillator as Clock Source: Yes
- High Accuracy, Supports 50 Hz/60 Hz IEC 521/IEC 61036: Yes
- Less than 0.1% Error over Dynamic Range of 500 to 1: Yes
- Supplies Average Real Power on F1 and F2 Outputs: Yes
The ADE7757 is designed with internal phase matching circuitry for voltage and current channels, ensuring accuracy. It remains inactive until the supply voltage on VDD reaches around 4V, maintaining stability during low supply voltage conditions.
An internal no-load threshold prevents creep in the absence of load. The IC is available in a 16-lead SOIC narrow-body package for easy integration.
