The AD623 is an integrated, dual-supply instrumentation amplifier that provides superior user flexibility. It allows single gain set resistor programming and conforms to the 8-lead industry standard pin out configuration. The amplifier can be configured for unity gain (G = 1) with no external resistor and can be programmed for gains of up to 1000 with an external resistor.
The AD623 offers high accuracy DC performance with 0.10% gain accuracy for G = 1 and 0.35% gain accuracy for G > 1. It features a noise level of 35 nV/?Hz RTI at 1 kHz and excellent dynamic specifications including 800 kHz bandwidth for G = 1 and 20 µs settling time to 0.01% for G = 10.
The amplifier has a wide input common-mode range and can amplify signals with common-mode voltages as low as 150 mV below ground. It maintains superior performance with dual and single polarity power supplies. The superior accuracy of the AD623 is a result of increasing AC common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and constant CMRR up to 200 Hz, rejecting line noise harmonics.
