The 9-0-9 500mA Center Tapped Step Down Transformer is designed for various applications. It has a center tapped secondary winding and flying colored insulated connecting leads (Approx 100 mm long). This transformer acts as a step-down transformer, reducing AC - 230V to AC - 9V, providing outputs of 9V, 9V, and 0V.
The construction of the transformer includes a Solid Core and Winding. It is a static electrical device that transfers energy by inductive coupling between its winding circuits. The transformer's cores are made of high permeability silicon steel, which greatly reduces the magnetizing current and confines the flux to a path closely coupling the winding.
