The 9-0-9 1A transformer is equipped with a center tapped secondary winding and flying colored insulated connecting leads approximately 100mm long. It acts as a step-down transformer, reducing 230V AC to 9V outputs. The transformer's construction includes a solid core and winding, enabling energy transfer through inductive coupling between winding circuits.
The transformer's cores are crafted from high permeability silicon steel, offering multiple times the permeability of free space. This design greatly reduces magnetizing current and channels the flux to closely couple the windings.
