This 74LS151 data selector/multiplexer features full on-chip decoding to efficiently select the desired data source. It allows you to choose one-of-eight data sources and offers complementary W and Y outputs. The strobe input, when at a low logic level, enables these devices. A high level at the strobe input forces the W output HIGH and the Y output LOW.
The 74LS151 is not only suitable for selecting data sources but also for parallel-to-serial conversion and multiplexing from multiple lines to a single line. Additionally, it can be used as a Boolean function generator. With a typical average propagation delay time of 12.5 ns from data input to W output and a power dissipation of 30mW, this IC is efficient and reliable.
