74HC148 Priority Encoder
Priority encoding for 8 data lines to 3-line binary (octal) conversion.
- Supply Voltage: 2 V to 6 V
- Max Output Current: 10 LSTTL loads
- Power Consumption: 80 µA max
- Propagation Delay: 16 ns typical
- Output Drive: ±4 mA at 5 V
- Input Current: 1 µA max
- Encoding: 8 data lines to 3-line binary
Top Features:
- Priority decoding of inputs
- Wide operating voltage range
- Low power consumption
- Octal expansion capability
The 74HC148 devices ensure only the highest-order data line is encoded, with cascading circuitry for octal expansion. Data inputs and outputs are active at low logic level.
Applications include n-bit encoding, code converters, and generators. The device has a storage temperature range of -65°C to +150°C.
