Carbon fibre tubes offer superior strength compared to pultruded tubes, thanks to the use of high modulus unidirectional prepreg carbon fibre. The lateral axis provides maximum strength, making it ideal for various projects. However, it's important to note that the tube's strength is along its length, not across its diameter, so avoid unnecessary crushing forces.
The roll-wrapping process involves laying up prepreg carbon fibre around a mandrel in multiple layers, then spiral-wrapping it with heat-shrink tape before oven curing.
