Carbon Fiber tubes offer superior strength compared to aluminum or steel tubes. The use of high modulus unidirectional prepreg carbon Fiber provides maximum strength in the lateral axis. Roll-wrapped tubes are stronger in general use than pultruded tubes. The tube is not as strong across its diameter as along its length, so avoid unnecessary crushing forces.
The roll-wrapping process involves laying up prepreg carbon Fiber around a mandrel in multiple layers, then spiral-wrapping with heat-shrink tape before oven curing.
