The 24-0-24 2A Center Tapped Step Down Transformer is designed to act as a step-down transformer, reducing AC from 230V to 24V. It has a center-tapped secondary winding with flying colored insulated connecting leads (approx. 100 mm long).
The transformer's construction includes a solid core and winding. It is a static electrical device that transfers energy through inductive coupling between its winding circuits. The cores are made of high permeability silicon steel, which greatly reduces magnetizing current and confines the flux to closely couple the winding.
